Machine Self-binders

Updated: Dec 31, 2018

— Our quilts are bound by wrapping the backing fabric around to the top of the quilt. This is called "machine self-binding." This type of binding can be accomplished during workshops if you do not wish to take quilts home. When you register for a workshop, leave a note in the comments section letting us know you want to bind quilts. We will try and have them ready for you at the check-in table on the day of the workshop.

  • Pickup quilts that need to be bound

  • Bind them by machine NOT by hand

  • Inspect for pins and labels

  • Attach the official Quilts for Kids label when needed

  • Return readied quilts to the coordinator
