Free Patterns

  • Donated new quilts can be any quilt pattern and size. Since we minister to children from birth to 22 years of age, older children are the most difficult to bless.  Larger quilts are harder and more time consuming to make. Particularly difficult are older males because most fabric designs favor females and young children.

  • Bright uplifting colors and fabric themes create an encouraging and uplifting environment.

  • The designs below (finished roughly to 38" x 40") are the same used during our workshops and signed out as kits. Our kits include top fabrics cut and ready for assembly and backing fabric which is used for machine self-binding.

  • Our free patterns below are easy to assemble. Just click the illustration to download the instructions and fabric yardages.

    • These patterns are in order (left to right) of the amount of time it takes to assemble them.
    • Almost all the kits provided at our workshops are the first pattern called "Alternating Squares."

    • Kits do not include binding fabric because it is easier to do machine-self binding which wraps the backing fabric over the raw edges to be sewn down by machine.

  • All binding must be sewn down by machine because hand stitching can quickly fall apart when washed daily in hospital industrial machines.

  • Click the graphic below for specific instructions for that design.
